Brayden's Blessing

Brayden was blessed on September 9th, 2007. We were so lucky to be able to have so much family in town for the event. It didn't seem like we'd be able to pull any of it off in the beginning. Since our baby is the size of a toddler, finding a blessing outfit was a nightmare. Then, we weren't sure anyone would be able to make it into town, and lastly, the Robinson family had an early flight out that Sunday morning. Somehow everything fell into place just at the last minute.

The Saturday before we had planned on going shopping for an outfit, but ended up getting stuck in traffic on the way home from boating (not that we can exactly complain about that). Luckily the Thornton family showed up later that evening with plenty of blessing outfit options. As you can see Brayden ended up looking very cute in a size fit for a 6 month old even though he was only 2 months old at the time. Late Saturday evening the Storrs showed up, and with plenty of food to go around. We arrived at the church early enough to get some family photos in the following morning. Just before church started, Brodie's dad, Deb, and Vanessa were able to make it in to see the blessing too. It was so fun being surrounded by family for the blessing. Rob Nielsen, Ross Robinson, Luke Storrs, Pat Thornton, Brother Weaver, and Brodie all participated in Brayden's blessing. RIGHT after the blessing, The Robinson's took off in order to make their flight in time. All in all it was a great day.
